Videoconference User Training

Objectives & Approaches

  • The objective is to, through a standardised training program, enable Administrative Staff and Managers to Self-Support their meetings without assistance from the AV technicians.
  • The scope is focused on administrative staff and managers.
  • Training covers both Crestron and Remote Control rooms.
  • Training is provided by qualified MedIT technicians who have received training by an experienced educator.
  • Training is offered at all UBC FoM sites, in person or remotely. Hands-on practice is included in the 1 hour session.
  • The VC Training PowerPoint presentations is available for reference by users prior to the training session and later at their leisure.
  • Ongoing evaluation will be conducted to ensure training is appropriate, of sufficient quality, and that the supporting processes and materials are adequate.

All administrative staff and managers responsible for supporting videoconference sessions are required to complete the training.
