The FoM Space Planning and Facilities Management Unit oversee the allocation, utilization and management of all academic space. As well as a commitment to support academic and research growth and change the unit needs to ensure the Faculty’s space management policies and practices foster accountability and sustainability of the UBC FoM Academic Community’s spatial assets at Health Authority and University campuses across the province.

Forms and Procedures
Requests are reviewed and approved by the FoM Space Planning and Facilities Management Unit to ensure compliance with Health Authority, University and Faculty space agreements and other applicable regulations. For all new space requests, an analysis will be conducted to ensure that the Requestor’s current space is being efficiently and appropriately utilized.
In order to make a request please complete the FOM Functional Program and Space Planning form. As part of the template you will need to complete the three worksheets contained on the FoM Space Planning templates.
Use the ‘Find a Room’ search tool to pull a list of all room locations or to filter by room type, capacity, city and site. Once you have identified a suitable space please fill out and submit the UBC FoM Room Request Form.
Please fill out and submit the VC Facility Request Form to request videoconference equipment or videoconference facility design and installation.
